Jabil is seeking an experienced Quality Engineering Technician to work at Jabil’s facility in Auburn Hills, MI. This is a 1st shift opening working Monday-Friday 7am-3pm with some flexibility in time. How will you make an impact? As a Quality Engineering Technician at Jabil, you will be responsible for the collection, preparation, and analysis of quality data, daily and weekly.

Requirements

  • High school diploma OR GED OR equivalent
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a support role in a Manufacturing environment is strongly preferred OR other combination of education and work experience.
  • Ability to work with urgency and timeliness.
  • Advanced PC skills is a plus.
  • Experience utilizing Excel and other Microsoft tools.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to present and share important information with internal customers.
  • Experience working with tight deadlines which change rapidly.
  • Must be able to collect and analyze complex data and prepare reports.

Responsibilities

  • Creates or assists with quality documentation (Quality Alerts, Control Plans, Incoming Inspection Special Instructions)
  • Assists QE with PQ Protocol and PQ Report Reviews
  • daily workcell fallout (MRB) and applies disposition per QE guidance
  • Completes daily signoff of QA reject review (NCR) and signoff in NCR database
  • Prepares quality reports, and data analysis in support of workcell and customer inquiries
  • Assists in tracking and summarizing quality concerns and the investigation of defects to determine root cause and corrective actions
  • Assists with CAPA investigations and process
  • Supports continual improvement by participation in CAC and QIC meetings
  • Works safely at all times and complies with Environmental Health and Safety standards and work practices along with all other work rules
  • Oversees sorting activities onsite, including directing manufacturing or 3rd party affiliates to assist as needed, with focus on detailed sort results reporting
  • Other duties as they may be assigned.
