About The Position

IGT is looking for a Quality Technician to join the Quality Engineering team in Reno. In this role, you will help inspect materials, review quality issues, document findings, and support teams in resolving nonconforming material. This role may be a good fit for someone with hands-on experience in manufacturing, quality, inspection, testing, troubleshooting, electronics, or repair. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing, quality, electronics, repair, or a related field.
  • Ability to inspect parts and assemblies against drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Basic PC skills and ability to use Microsoft Office or similar tools.
  • Ability to follow work instructions, quality procedures, and documentation requirements
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well with production teams, suppliers, and support groups.
  • Able to manage assigned work and complete tasks accurately and on time.
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and work safely with tools and electrical components.
  • Must be flexible with work schedules and available to work overtime as needed to support business requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in electronics, quality, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • Experience using bench tools such as meters, oscilloscopes, soldering, or de-soldering equipment.
  • Experience with SAP, Enovia, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, or similar systems.
  • Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently or with a team.
  • Basic knowledge of electronics.
  • Ability to read drawings, specifications, or electronic schematics.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and review nonconforming material from Operations, warehouses, and other IGT locations.
  • Confirm material issues and document findings clearly and accurately.
  • Help coordinate the resolution of rejected or nonconforming material.
  • Use SAP to move, scrap, receive, or update material status.
  • Inspect parts, assemblies, and finished material for accuracy, appearance, and function.
  • Compare products to drawings, bills of material, workmanship standards, and specifications.
  • Perform basic electrical, mechanical, and component-level testing as needed.
  • Report quality issues to the appropriate team members or management.
  • Work with production, suppliers, and support teams to resolve parts issues.
  • Review quality data and help improve department processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
