About The Position

The Quality Engineering Technician II enhances the capabilities of the QA Department by providing administrative and technical support to the Quality Engineer. The role assists with quality engineering activities, audits, product and process reviews, production inspections, and support for new product introductions and manufacturing systems.

Requirements

General knowledge of electronic component handling.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to operate a personal computer, including a Windows-based operating system and related software.
Advanced PC skills.
Ability to write simple correspondence and read and understand visual aids.
Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages, and to draw and interpret graphs.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience is preferred but not required.
A technical associate degree is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Assist with visual aids.
Assist the Quality Engineer or Quality Technician(s) in engineering functions.
Prepare raw data for analysis.
Conduct routine process and product audits.
Follow up on new product introductions and experiments as requested by leadership.
Review defect samples and check the purge process.
Help set up MES for new and existing products.
Follow up on the execution of DA, ECN, and CAPA (Corrective Action and Preventive Action).
Review non-conforming materials and products.
Perform and assist with production inspections to meet customer demand.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
