We are seeking a Quality Engineering Technician I to support the development, validation, inspection, and continuous improvement of CFS Brands products. In this role, you will perform laboratory testing, product inspections, failure analysis, quality audits, and technical documentation while partnering closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality teams. The Quality Engineering Technician I supports the entire product lifecycle, from prototype development and engineering validation through production support, customer returns, warranty investigations, and continuous product improvement. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on testing, problem-solving, and contributing to the delivery of high-quality, reliable products.

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Experience with measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, multimeters, gauges).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering validation testing on new and existing products.
  • Execute mechanical, electrical, thermal, environmental, cycle-life, and performance testing.
  • Prepare test samples, fixtures, and laboratory equipment.
  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final product inspections.
  • Inspect components against engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Conduct PPAP dimensional evaluations where required.
  • Investigate returned products and warranty claims to determine root cause, repairability and refurbishment requirements.
  • Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Perform electrical diagnostics using digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, programmable power supplies, and other laboratory test equipment.
  • Operate, maintain, and verify calibration status of laboratory equipment.
  • Prepare detailed laboratory test reports and maintain electronic records.
  • Document inspection results, nonconformances, and engineering observations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and engineering projects.
  • Follow laboratory safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality teams.
