Requirements

• Experience in machining/assembly environments and understanding of process parameters/controls.
• Advanced knowledge to read, understand, and interpret 2D and 3D drawings, including geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Advanced knowledge of computer/software (Microsoft Office, ERP Systems, experience in Microsoft Business Central, CSA and Measurement Canada portal, etc.).
• Solid understanding and expertise in gas industry on regulatory requirements, product safety certification, hazard management, etc.
• Excellent understanding of ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 quality standards.
• Experience of giving presentations to management regarding project results.
• Ability to effectively communicate and share the best approach to ensure long-term product quality when challenged with quality questions or policy adherence.
• Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills, documentation, and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal/written English language skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to set priorities, handle multiple priorities, and be a self-starter.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Solid analytical skills, integrative thinking, and advanced problem-solving skills (e.g. Fishbone, Pareto, Cause and Effect, 5-Why, 8D, PFD, PFMEA, Control Plan, etc.).
• Excellent project management skills.
• College or University degree in manufacturing, mechanical, electronics or industrial engineering.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience required or equivalent manufacturing exposure in machine shop and assembly environments.
• ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor experience or qualification is a MUST.
• Experience with Measurement Canada and CSA is a MUST.
• Experience with manufacturing process audit (e.g. layered process audit) is a MUST.

Nice To Haves

• Minitab is a PLUS.
• ISO 17025 Lead Auditor experience or qualification considered an asset.
• Experience with certification bodies (e.g. UL, Intertek, European, etc.) is a PLUS.
• Experience with 2nd party customer audit is a PLUS.
• Proven records of strong learning capacity in the new working environment in a reasonable duration.
• Experience/exposure to a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Promote process excellence by evaluating compliance and identifying gaps.
• Collaborate with process owners to map, analyze, and improve processes.
• Advocate for process thinking, arrange training/workshops, oversee implementation, and drive process excellence with measurable results.
• Improve customer satisfaction by resolving customer quality concerns in collaboration with quality, operations, sales, and customer solutions teams, ensuring effective communication with internal and external customers.
• Review and monitor customer survey index, proposing initiatives to top management.
• Serve as Subject Matter Expert for Romet Quality Management System (QMS) compliance with ISO 9001, gas industry regulatory requirements, and product safety (including hazardous areas).
• Integrate business strategy into the quality manual with related operations procedures/work instructions.
• Collect and analyze Romet quality metrics data, providing regular analysis reports to stakeholders.
• Organize Romet business performance review sessions to discuss KPIs with top management and properly document quality records.
• Lead internal and external audits according to pre-defined schedules, publish audit results/findings, and ensure timely closure of open issues.
• Optimize business processes with order management, sales, and manufacturing engineers to improve accuracy of customer master product specifications, data file formats, ERT/AMR programming configurations, packing slips, and invoices.
• Plan annual employee surveys to assess QMS training needs, training efficiency, and identify gaps for continuous improvement.
• Act as a guide and foundation for quality mindset within the organization.
• Work with product development to ensure smooth transition of new products into operations, maintaining high-quality product levels and adherence to processes.
• Perform final quality inspections of parts and finished goods to support daily product shipments.
• Comply with all quality and safety requirements.
• Stay updated with best business practices and technological developments.
• Gather and analyze business performance data.
• Perform other assigned duties and related projects.
