About The Position

EJ is hiring a 2027 Quality Engineering Intern to gain hands-on experience at a modern iron foundry that began operations in November 2018. The intern will engage in real-world problem-solving and contribute to operational excellence by learning fundamental foundry processes, supporting improvements to casting quality, applying geometric dimensioning and tolerancing principles, and using statistical tools to analyze and improve product quality.

Requirements

• Be a sophomore, junior, or senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a related field at a four-year college or university.
• Have mechanical aptitude and apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing principles.
• Be able to learn and implement statistical tools for analysis.
• Be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily, with reasonable accommodations where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Learn and understand foundry processes to make recommendations for quality improvements.
• Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and adhere to geometric dimensioning and tolerancing principles.
• Learn and implement statistical tools for deeper analysis.
• Promote the company’s culture, mission, vision, and core values, including its safety beliefs, employee engagement, competencies, code of conduct, and policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
