The Quality Engineer relies on experience in each of the following: assist in the development and tracking of key quality metrics and reporting to management; support calibration programs for inspection and test equipment; review purchase orders and incoming material certifications for compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements; participate in internal and external audits, surveys and surveillances; review of quality records to verify acceptability and compliance; and support nonconformance investigations and corrective/preventive action processes, as well as: working with industry codes, standards, or quality management frameworks—such as, but not limited to, ASME Section III or Section VIII, ISO 9001, NQA 1, 10 CFR 21, or other comparable regulatory or engineering standards used in regulated industries, or within any regulated environment that applies equivalent compliance, reporting, or quality program requirements. The Quality Engineer enacts quality control procedures to resolve production problems or minimize costs; design control systems to coordinate activities and production planning in order to ensure that products meet quality standards; coordinate and implement quality control objectives, activities, or procedures to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, or minimize costs; performance quality checks and testing; and performs daily quality assurance activities, including product inspection, creating batch records, line balancing, safety, and PPE checks.
