The Quality Engineer role supports the manufacturing environment by ensuring product quality, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction. The role is responsible for the development of effective quality assurance policies and programs to ensure the organization produces quality products in a cost-effective manner. Qualified candidates must be able to work an on-site schedule at our Greeneville, TN office/facility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or related technical field
  • 2+ years of relevant Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Applicants for this position must be currently and legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship (e.g., H-1B, J-1, F-1, CPT, OPT, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Support product quality by development and implementation of methods and procedures for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection to ensure that the products are free of flaws and function as designed.
  • Perform product testing and analysis to ensure that potential defects and failure rates are minimized, and quality levels are maintained in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Implement sampling plans, statistical process control (SPC) techniques, and quality‐assurance procedures.
  • Analyze production limitations, standards, reports, and defective products to determine trends and recommends revision of specifications when indicated.
  • Represent quality assurance in product design and development projects.
  • Develop the economics of any quality control programs when required.
  • Recognize critical problem areas and potential consequences and seeks appropriate guidance to find alternate solutions.
  • Consistently seeking feedback and guidance of others in order to develop a more thorough understanding of products and customer preferences.
  • Use existing procedures to solve routine or standard problems; receives instruction, guidance and direction from others.
  • Show familiarity with new designs, methods, techniques, materials and other advances in engineering technology to increase production efficiency.
  • Recognize potential use of emerging technologies.
  • Knows and applies fundamental concepts, practices and procedures.
