About The Position

The Infosys Engineering unit focuses on product-centric value delivery through innovative engineering solutions and a data-first approach to engineering and value-stream management. It uses AI, machine learning, and predictive analytics to improve delivery processes, accelerate time to market, and support continuous improvement.

In the assigned job role of Engineering Consultant 2, the Quality Engineer elicits and documents business and technical requirements, translates them into specifications, participates in engineering design and iterative development cycles, and supports prototype refinement. The role develops solution specifications, conducts validation activities including simulations, integrates technical systems, resolves interoperability issues, and maintains technical documentation. It also calls for collaboration, effective communication, analysis of complex requirements, innovation, and knowledge sharing.

The role requires preparing Control Plans, PFMEA, PFDs, Inspection Standards, and SPC. Preferred experience includes structured root-cause analysis and investigation of quality issues using methods such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone (Ishikawa) Diagrams, Fault Tree Analysis, and A3 Problem Solving. Relocation and/or travel to the work or project location may be required. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without employer-based visa sponsorship; Infosys will not provide immigration sponsorship for this role.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution; three years of progressive experience in the specialty may be considered in lieu of each year of education.
• Prepare Control Plans, PFMEA, PFDs, Inspection Standards, and SPC (Statistical Process Control).
• Candidates must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States without employer-based visa sponsorship.
• The position may require relocation and/or travel to the work/project location.

Responsibilities

• Elicit and document business and technical requirements and translate them into actionable specifications for the team.
• Participate in design meetings, create initial design concepts, and support development of design sketches and models using established engineering tools and techniques.
• Participate in iterative engineering design cycles, refine prototypes, and coordinate with teams to implement feedback.
• Develop and refine solution specifications and perform validation activities, including simulations, to ensure solutions meet design specifications and criteria.
• Build and refine prototypes, incorporating testing results and cross-functional team feedback to enhance functionality.
• Undertake technical integration efforts, ensure system functionality, and identify and resolve interoperability issues.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and assist with knowledge-sharing sessions among team members.
• Prepare Control Plans, PFMEA, PFDs, Inspection Standards, and SPC.
• Perform root-cause analysis and investigate quality issues using structured problem-solving techniques.
