Marmon Industrial Water is currently seeking a hardworking, organized, and enthusiastic individual to join our Quality team to support the day-to-day operations of the department while driving the quality program and activities for projects through to execution. As a Quality Engineer, you will act as the project Quality Lead for new projects and maintain responsibility for performing the project’s Quality documentation, and inspection activities. You will also participate in the ISO 9001 program along with other quality activities driving continuous improvement efforts across the organization.

Requirements

  • Engineering Degree
  • 3-5 years of experience in a Quality Engineer role involving inspections (preferably with Pressure Vessels, Pressure Piping / customized industrial equipment)
  • CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) Credentials or ability to obtain within one year
  • Familiar with the NDE techniques, RT, UT, MT & PT
  • Experience with piping, pressure vessels, valves, tanks, PVC, FRP, HDPE
  • Strong knowledge of ASME Section VIII Div. 1, ASME B31.1/31.3
  • Understanding of other international code requirements, CSA , AWS, API, PED,, , NACE, AWWA.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards
  • Well organized, with effective time management and superior communication skills.

  • Ability to work as part of a team and individually on multifaceted tasks and projects.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Travel required: 1-4 hours driving locally, occasional domestic travel necessary (approx. 1-2 days per month)

Responsibilities

  • Review customer specifications, engineering drawings, P&IDs, code compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop project quality program, inspection and test plans, inspection scheme, inspection package and documentation requirements
  • Review vendor documentation accordingly through to final acceptance and prepare final documentation for customer
  • Complete inspections of equipment, assemblies and components confirming compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and codes.
  • Generate and close out process and product non-conformances
  • Engage in corrective and preventative action plans
  • Perform vendor qualification audits and quality program analysis
  • Provide interdepartmental support as needed regarding Quality questions and concerns, including vendor clarification
  • Travel required: 1-4 hours driving locally, occasional domestic travel necessary (approx. 1-2 days per month)
