Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 2 or more years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations management, quality or related environment or a Master's degree and at least 1 year experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations quality or related environment
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated proficiency managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Experience in an aerospace/defense manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or working toward certification
  • Demonstrated effective root cause determination skills (Red-X, Fault Tree, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Lead teams to investigate the root cause of customer escapes and non-conformances and determine appropriate corrective/preventive actions
  • Review and approve First Article inspections and Process Tryouts
  • Perform product, process and work instruction audits
  • Interface with various Engineering groups and Customer Support to resolve technical/quality issues related to engine manual repairs and other approved technical data
  • Lead and participate in various teams in support of the unit’s CORE goals
  • Review and implement various regulatory requirement changes.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to OEM Parts Inspectors
  • Assist with Escape investigations within Business Units.
  • Actively participate on plant wide team
