DISHER is currently partnering with an electronics manufacturing company in Holland, Michigan to fill their Quality Engineer role. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that the quality and safety of products meet company, customer, and regulatory standards and requirements. They are a collaborative team, working with a wide variety of small to mid-sized companies to manufacture electrical and electronic components.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years' quality and internal auditing experience.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office experience.
  • Ability to lift to ~50 lbs.
  • Ability to work with very small parts and be able to use a scope/Inspection magnifying aids.

Nice To Haves

  • Electrical/Electronics Manufacturing industry experience is preferred.
  • Leadership experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System.
  • Lead company’s efforts in continued ISO9001, FM, and UL certification and compliance.
  • Establish and execute the internal and supplier quality audit plan.
  • Prepare organization for third-party audits and maintain inspection reports and records.
  • Responsible for conducting weekly and monthly reporting against organizational KPI’s.
  • Responsible for conducting annual review of company performance against established metrics.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to ensure that process controls are robust, error proof the processes.
  • Formulate and maintain quality control objectives and coordinate objectives with production procedures in cooperation with Operations to maximize product reliability.
  • Lead the root cause identification and correction process.
  • PPAP Submittal Activity - interface with customers with the focus on PPAP review.
  • Knowledge and practice of HAVS’s Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality Policies & Procedural Requirements.
  • PFMEA & Process control plan development and revision.
  • Assist with corrective action follow-up/closure (including 8-D’s, 5-Whys, CAR’s, etc.).
  • Willing to travel to various business locations to ensure a thorough understanding of the company's products, processes, and facilities.
