About The Position

Luxfer Gas Cylinders manufactures and distributes gas cylinders and is an operating unit of Luxfer Group based in Riverside, CA. Our products serve customers in major gas cylinder markets, including medical, life support, beverage, fire, scuba, and specialty gases. We maintain operating facilities in the United States, the UK, Canada and China. And with more than 50 million Luxfer cylinders in service, we pride ourselves on an exemplary record for dependable service and safety. This position shall be responsible for ensuring that products meet customer, regulatory, and aerospace standards, with a focus on process improvement, supplier quality, and compliance with AS9100 requirements. The goal of this position is to achieve compliance with requirements and take advantage of improving the cost of compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing, or related field preferred).
  • 3-5 years of experience in quality engineering, manufacturing, or aerospace industries.
  • Knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, or other quality management systems.
  • Familiarity with quality tools and methodologies (FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, PPAP, SPC, CAPA).
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the US.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab) is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure system and documentation compliance with customer, regulatory, and standards requirements
  • Assist in internal and external audits, including customer and third-party audits
  • Participate in preparation, review, and approval of quality documentation
  • Create and implement continuous improvement initiatives
  • Conduct root cause analysis and develop corrective and preventive actions
  • Work with suppliers to ensure product quality and compliance with requirements
  • Coordinate non-conformance from supplier parts or processes.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret quality data to monitor trends and identify improvement opportunities
  • Prepare quality reports and metrics (ex. First Article Inspection Reports) for internal and customer use
  • Interface with customers regarding product quality issues
  • Coordinate with production to address quality concerns
