About The Position

Yanfeng is seeking a Quality Engineer to join their team. This role involves maintaining quality systems in accordance with YF iOS standards, facilitating problem-solving, and responding to customer discrepancies. The Quality Engineer will also participate in internal and external quality audits, establish process controls, and assist in training for new projects and equipment buy-offs. Additional responsibilities include participating in workgroups like FMEA and PSMC, supporting risk and failure analysis, and supporting quality/dimensional control systems. The role requires a strong working knowledge of APQP tools.

Requirements

1-3 Years of Experience working in the field of Quality, Engineering CI or similar (recent college graduate is considered acceptable).
Less Than 1 Years of Experience within the automotive industry.
Possesses strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work in a team environment, establishing partnerships both internally and externally.
Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Possess knowledge on the fundamentals of PPAP and APQP processes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.

Nice To Haves

Experience working directly with customers and suppliers, particularly automotive related is highly desirable.
Understanding of the Quality function such as customer service, metrology, and quality analysis techniques (i.e., Design of experiments, Red X, PPAP, Control Plan, etc.).

Responsibilities

Update/maintain the Control Plan for the assigned workflows.
Serve as the primary contact source with customer/supplier representatives, maintaining positive communication and relationships.
Support and attend meetings, reviews, and audits.
Ensure that the quality system is maintained in accordance with the YF iOS standards.
Facilitate problem-solving teams and respond to customer discrepancy notices.
Verify corrective actions and prepare problem-solving customer correspondence related to quality concerns or issues.
Participate in internal and external quality audits, and report to management on quality issues, trends, and losses.
Establish process controls, assist in training of new projects, and buy-off on new/modified equipment and processes.
Participate in workgroups (e.g., FMEA, PSMC, etc.).
Support the risk and failure analysis (PFMEA) reviews.
Perform root cause analysis of technical quality problems, with support of a cross-functional team.
Support quality/dimensional control systems (i.e., X&R charts, gage studies, Six Sigma, dimensional capability studies).
Understand, apply, and meet all function-related Quality requirements.
Understand, apply, and meet all function-related Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) requirements.
Understand, apply, and meet all function-related Product Safety requirements.
Understand, apply, and meet all function-related Compliance requirements.
Understand, apply, and meet all function-related IT / Information Security and confidentiality of YFAI information requirements.
Comply with all company policies and procedures.
Work additional hours and/or overtime as needed or assigned to complete job duties on time.
Multitask, interact politely and professionally with customers, suppliers, and vendors, and work cooperatively with employees at all levels.
Maintain predictable and regular attendance, arrive to designated location on time, or be at assigned location ready to work for assignment (plant, corporate office, or remote).
