Requirements

  • Experience working in a quality-specific position in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
  • Experience interpreting data, identifying trends and patterns, presenting scientific information, and compiling data in various analytical formats.
  • Experience leading an initiative within the operation and working through others to accomplish goals.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Prior experience working in a shape molding, thermoforming or extrusion facility.
  • Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis techniques and Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA).
  • Experience working with Safe Quality Food (SQF).

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the quality program, ensuring compliance with applicable certifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints; manage corrective actions promptly.
  • Review technical files, master records, validation plans, and design releases for accuracy and completeness.
  • Conduct regular monitoring and performance evaluations of thermoforming and extrusion plastics processes.
  • Assess non-conforming products, approve shipment holds, and oversee ECOs.
  • Develop and refine work instructions, procedures, and work standards to boost efficiency and product quality.
  • Compile and analyze test results to diagnose malfunctions, identify trends, and recommend corrective measures.
