About the job you’re considering We are looking for an experienced Quality Engineer as a key member of the Quality team. The role is an integral part of the quality team and will help drive strong quality systems with high effectiveness. The Quality Engineer will work closely with the customers to resolve customer issues which help save money.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific or technical field required OR Bachelor’s Degree in Metallurgy preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in a metal or materials production environment is preferred
  • General knowledge of systematic quality management systems is required including Root Cause Analysis.
  • ETQ experience is required
  • Hands-on experience with PPAP and working knowledge of APQP / IATF and GD&T
  • Demonstrated ability to complete tasks on time is required.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft suite
  • Effective communicator for groups of customers and employees; Ability to train; Solution oriented

Responsibilities

  • Identify and collaborate on customer issues.
  • Ability to utilize root cause analysis tools to identify possible causes of issues and bring forth ideas to resolve.
  • Support quality standard (ISO9001, AS9100D, ISO17025, etc.) through participation in the quality system such as documentation, internal and external audits, calibration, etc.
  • Collaborate with peers to ensure everyone is on the same page.
  • Participate in teams and projects throughout the site(s) which drive improvement in efficiency, yield, etc.
