About The Position

Spirax Sarco is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Engineer to lead quality assurance and compliance efforts. This is a hands-on role, onsite five days a week, where you will drive operational excellence and elevate our commitment to safety, reliability, and innovation. Your expertise will ensure adherence to ASME codes and company quality standards through detailed reviews, documentation, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field with equivalent experience.
  • Background or current experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Experience with welding techniques, PQRs, WPQs, and NDE procedures.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and welding symbols.
  • Proficient in using inspection tools and equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experienced or Certified in Weld Inspections
  • 5+ years’ experience in coded welding and fabrication.
  • Strong knowledge of welding processes, materials, and quality standards.
  • Profound knowledge of ASME regulations and norms.

Responsibilities

  • Build travelers for ASME vessels, including marking hold points for UM vessels.
  • Maintain Welding Procedures and Performance Qualification Reports.
  • Coordinate the preparation, revision, administration, and issuance of the Spirax Sarco, Inc. ASME Quality Control Manual.
  • Ensure ASME drawings meet all applicable codes and customer specifications.
  • Manage ASME documentation like WPSs, PQRs, WPQs, and welder/compose continuity records.
  • Review and approve ASME-related purchase orders and update quality control documentation accordingly.
  • Conduct weld inspections, testing, and quality reviews to verify compliance with standards.
  • Coordinate with Authorized Inspectors, schedule NDE activities, support hydrotesting and ASME/NBBI joint reviews, and prepare Manufacturer’s Data Reports (MDRs).
  • Perform receiving and final inspections to ensure material and product quality.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, quality audits, and stay current with ASME code updates.
