About The Position

Yanfeng is seeking a Quality Engineer to join their team. This role involves maintaining quality systems in accordance with YF iOS standards, facilitating problem-solving, and responding to customer discrepancies. The Quality Engineer will also participate in audits, establish process controls, and support risk and failure analysis. This position requires a strong understanding of APQP tools and a commitment to quality, EHS, product safety, compliance, and information security requirements. The role also necessitates the ability to work additional hours as needed, multitask, interact professionally with stakeholders, and maintain regular attendance.

Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of APQP tools (e.g., Process Flow, PFMEA, Control Plan, PPAP, MSA, SPC, etc.).
  • Understand, apply and meet all function-related Quality requirements.
  • Understand, apply and meet all function-related Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) requirements.
  • Understand, apply and meet all function-related Product Safety requirements.
  • Understand, apply and meet all function-related Compliance requirements.
  • Understand, apply and meet all function-related IT / Information Security and confidentiality of YFAI information requirements.
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work additional hours and / or overtime as needed or assigned to complete job duties on time.
  • Ability to multitask, interact politely and professionally with customers, suppliers and vendors, and work cooperatively with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to maintain predictable and regular attendance, arrive to designated location on time, or be at assigned location ready to work for assignment (plant, corporate office, or remote).

Responsibilities

  • Update/maintain the Control Plan for the assigned workflows.
  • Serve as the primary contact for customer/supplier representatives, maintaining positive communication and relationships, and supporting meetings, reviews, and audits.
  • Ensure the quality system is maintained in accordance with YF iOS standards.
  • Facilitate problem-solving teams and respond to customer discrepancy notices.
  • Verify corrective actions and prepare customer correspondence related to quality concerns or issues.
  • Participate in internal and external quality audits, reporting quality issues, trends, and losses to management.
  • Establish process controls, assist in training for new projects, and provide buy-off on new/modified equipment and processes.
  • Participate in workgroups (e.g., FMEA, PSMC) and support risk and failure analysis (PFMEA) reviews.
  • Perform root cause analysis of technical quality problems with cross-functional team support.
  • Support quality/dimensional control systems (e.g., X&R charts, gage studies, Six Sigma, dimensional capability studies).
