This role leads process improvement initiatives using tools like 5S, root cause analysis, Six Sigma, and time and motion studies to eliminate quality losses and deviations within a Distribution Center. The Quality Engineer delivers expected functional area results through KPI analysis, loss elimination, and by creating standard work to reduce process variation. They will assist with the review and response of quality-focused process improvement projects, compile and submit deviations to existing playbooks, and provide input to Divisional Focused Improvement Teams. The role also involves the tactical deployment of the Quality Excellence program methodology, managing project execution of top quality losses, and assisting in building the capability of other managers and associates. Additionally, the Quality Engineer will create area quality loss profile analysis and performance metrics, develop gap analysis for WPS integration, and support Department Managers with WPS programs, projects, associate engagement, and KPI improvements. They will lead quality-related savings projects, promote company policies, demonstrate expertise in action plan development and execution, and build relationships with stakeholders. The role includes coordinating and overseeing job-related activities, providing supervision and development opportunities for associates, and ensuring compliance with company policies. The Quality Engineer will also embrace differences, build trusting relationships, communicate with impact, attract and retain talent, empower and develop associates, and recognize contributions.
