Requirements

  • A post secondary degree as a Mechanical Engineer or equivalent is required
  • Superior organizational skills are required
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills are required
  • A thorough knowledge of generally accepted Quality Control procedures is required

Responsibilities

  • Provide Root Cause Analysis and leadership in the resolution of customer concerns
  • Communicate quality related changes to Engineering Departments to ensure that the corrective action can be applied to future similar circumstances
  • Participate on and provide support for troubleshooting to ensure a focus on high priority customer concerns
  • Provide support for APQP activity related to new product launches
  • Participate in the development of shop floor procedures to ensure that defined corrective actions are permanent
  • Provide support to Quality Department leadership to allow for increased focus on problem resolution
  • Through cross-functional work with all other departments, obtain improvements for in-house rejections, customer concerns, cost of quality and run ratio measurables
  • Benchmark Techform quality practices against those of other automotive suppliers with the goal of continuous improvement
  • Take leadership role in responding to customer complaints in an appropriate and timely manner (ie. 8-D, 7-D, 5-P)
  • Ensure that all environmental requirements are identified and addressed when performing duties
  • Ensure that all safety requirements are being carried out when performing duties
  • Comply with defined Business Management and Environmental Management Systems requirements
  • Provide support for the continuous improvement initiatives within Techform
  • Provide support in the attainment of Techform's operating system goals as outlined by the key graphs
  • Carry out all duties focusing on the goal of internal and external customer satisfaction
  • Other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor or designate
