Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline preferred; equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in quality or quality engineering within a manufacturing environment required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams, required.
  • Strong knowledge of quality system methodologies and tools, including Lean, 5 Whys, Pareto Analysis, Six Sigma, DFMEA, PFMEA, PPAP, and APQP, required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in manufacturing environments that utilize lean concepts, quality management system (QMS) practices, and progressive customer engagement approaches preferred.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification and/or Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred.
  • Electronics manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing, executing component qualifications for new suppliers at a product quality level including deviation, X-Ray, and other quality requirements for qualification
  • Influence business bottom line results by delivering and reporting quality data. Responsible for Mfg Quality Gemba & MDI process for SMT. Focus peers, co-workers and management on the appropriate metrics and actions based on those metrics, assuring effective tracking of operational performance – visual management.
  • Responsible for product/process quality for the entire Supply Chain, from supplier to customer, minimizing Quality-related risks through creation and maintenance of PFMEA, Control Plan and Quality ABC’s
  • In-house manufacturing: support manufacturing to maximize product quality and reliability.
  • Customers: champion the reduction of customer complaints, warranty DPPM and related costs
  • Benchmark business processes against best-in-class and drive implementation of best practices throughout the organization.
  • New Product Development participation, measured by participation of DFMEA development, and leading the PFMEA, Control Plan processes and PPAP process.
