About The Position

Position is responsible for the quality of parts from purchase order to shipping at Winsted’s operations. Tasks as required, are performed to warrant the processing of parts to customers purchase orders, specifications and engineering drawings. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing or quality management
  • 2 years relevant experience
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent (i.e., Green Card Holder), Political Asylee or Refugee.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing and evaluation.
  • Communicates customer purchase order information to supply chain internally and externally.
  • Develops and implements methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility.
  • Guides workers engaged in measuring, inspecting and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, products, or process quality and reliability.
  • Prepare process approval requests and prepare first article data and characteristic accountability
  • Interface with customers and suppliers on specifications, problems and deviate material.
  • Response to customer corrective actions as required and issues corrective actions to suppliers as needed.
  • Perform various audit functions.
  • Reviews customer purchase orders and specifications and drawings.
  • Support shop floor manufacturing cells as required.
  • Responsible for area records and procedures for AS9100.
  • Reviews internal work instructions.
  • Actively participate, promote and comply with all EHS programs and policies.
  • May act as custodian for MRB and issues applicable reports.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
