Requirements

Strong working knowledge of APQP tools (e.g., Process Flow, PFMEA, Control Plan, PPAP, MSA, SPC, etc.).

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Sciences.
2+ years of previous Quality Engineering experience (preferably within a manufacturing production setting).
Experience working directly with customers and suppliers, particularly automotive related is highly desirable.
Understanding of the Quality function such as customer service, metrology, and quality analysis techniques (i.e., Design of experiments, Red X, PPAP, Control Plan, etc.).

Responsibilities

Update/maintain the Control Plan for the assigned workflows.
Serve as the primary contact for customer/supplier representatives, maintaining positive communication and relationships, and supporting/attending meetings, reviews, and audits.
Ensure the quality system is maintained in accordance with YF iOS standards.
Facilitate problem-solving teams and respond to customer discrepancy notices.
Verify corrective actions and prepare customer correspondence related to quality concerns or issues.
Participate in internal and external quality audits, and report to management on quality issues, trends, and losses.
Establish process controls, assist in training for new projects, and provide buy-off on new/modified equipment and processes.
Participate in workgroups (e.g., FMEA, PSMC, etc.) and support risk and failure analysis (PFMEA) reviews.
Perform root cause analysis of technical quality problems with support from a cross-functional team.
Support quality/dimensional control systems (e.g., X&R charts, gage studies, Six Sigma, dimensional capability studies).
Understand, apply, and meet all function-related Quality requirements.
Understand, apply, and meet all function-related Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) requirements.
Understand, apply, and meet all function-related Product Safety requirements.
Understand, apply, and meet all function-related Compliance requirements.
Understand, apply, and meet all function-related IT / Information Security and confidentiality of YFAI information requirements.
Comply with all company policies and procedures.
Work additional hours and/or overtime as needed or assigned to complete job duties on time.
Multitask, interact politely and professionally with customers, suppliers, and vendors, and work cooperatively with employees at all levels.
Maintain predictable and regular attendance, arrive to designated location on time, or be at assigned location ready to work for assignment (plant, corporate office, or remote).
