About The Position

BRUSS North America, Inc. is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer with a strong background in statistical techniques, customer-specific requirements, and supplier management. This role involves auditing suppliers, completing scorecards, and ensuring effective communication of quality-related information. The Quality Engineer will also be responsible for supporting the Quality Management system, including problem-solving, product launches, and continuous improvement activities. Additionally, this position may involve supervisory responsibilities for Quality Inspectors/Technicians and may serve as a deputy for the Quality Manager.

Requirements

  • An experienced engineer with appropriate industry experience, preferably in the automotive manufacturing field.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents and data, and then effectively communicate this information to any level of the organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment and strong operational focus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in (Science or Manufacturing Engineering) a related field preferred with two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of Statistical Techniques Line, SPC, Capability Studies, etc.
  • Knowledge of Customer Specific Requirements
  • Responsible for effectively communication information from customer scorecards to team
  • Responsible for effectively communicating information concerning scorecards to suppliers
  • Responsible for auditing suppliers to standards
  • Responsible for completing supplier scorecards
  • Must have working knowledge of the Core Tools used to support the Quality Management system, including but not limited to, problem solving, product launches, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Ability to perform PPAP and PFMEA
  • Maintains document control system (if assigned)
  • Responsible for directing the day-to-day activities of Quality Inspector/Technician direct reports.
  • Responsible for all supervisory responsibilities for direct reports (including timecards and disciplinary)
  • May serve as the deputy for the Quality Manager as required and assigned for all Quality-related responsibilities
  • Effectively perform any other duties as assigned or deemed necessary and appropriate.
