The Quality Engineer will work with cross-functional teams to continually improve manufacturing processes, support daily Quality activities including internal and external audits, and interface with customers as the Quality liaison. This position will support various aspects of the Quality Management System ensuring world-class systems and performance through continual focus on process improvement, supplier development and customer interaction. Support a culture of Continuous Improvement and positive Customer Experiences. Substantial knowledge of AS9100D or ISO 9001:2015 and formal problem-solving tools is essential. Work closely with Engineering to ensure that designs meet applicable quality requirements. Plan and perform internal quality audits and execute action items. Lead quality initiatives, develop and facilitate quality teams. Provide quality function support by working closely with Sales, Engineering, and Manufacturing to manage customer relations, expectations, needs and satisfaction. Independently drive and direct actions with departmental groups to maintain MRB and RMA issues. Drive key quality performance metrics: DPPM, OTD, Cost of Quality, Customer Scorecards, Internal Audit Risk and Effectiveness, Supplier Performance, Contract Review. Source inspection liaison. Travel to customer and supplier locations as required. Other duties and tasks as required. Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and to reduce costs. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.
