About The Position

The Quality Engineer will be part of the Quality Assurance team, responsible for implementing and developing quality principles to ensure the highest standards of product and process quality. The role involves investigating non-conformance issues, driving continuous improvement, and partnering with cross-functional teams to embed quality standards. Responsibilities include interfacing with Production, Program Quality Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering personnel, investigating and resolving non-conformance issues through root-cause analysis and corrective action, conducting audits, assessments, and technical evaluations, collaborating with program management, engineering, supply chain, and customers on quality-related matters, and developing and implementing strategies to improve internal and supplier performance and productivity.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree or higher in a STEM related discipline or equivalent education and experience.
  • Two or more years of related experience with a bachelor's degree.
  • Must have the ability to obtain a secret clearance and must have at least an interim secret clearance to start.
  • 2 years of quality manufacturing experience.
  • Candidate must be able to pass a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (“ATF”) background check to obtain approval to be an “employee possessor” (of explosives or other ATF-regulated items) as defined by ATF regulations.
  • MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with MS Office applications: Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Lean Six Sigma/Green Belt or higher certification.
  • SAP experience a plus.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • Mechanical or industrial engineering degree.
  • Or Engineering degree in related, technical field.
  • VBA coding skills. (Excel)
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T).
  • Quality discipline internship or DoD Industry internship.
  • Ability to work with a team in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities
