About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team in San Antonio, TX. This role represents the Quality function on team activities to integrate contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation. The Quality Engineer provides interpretation of requirements, develops quality metrics, and designs and production certification plans for small programs to ensure compliance with contractual, Company, and regulatory requirements. They conduct capability assessments and process validations to support supplier selection activities, participate in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs, and perform analysis, tests, and process audits to ensure manufacturing and test readiness. Additionally, the role involves providing material review dispositions for non-conformances, analyzing non-conformance trends to evaluate the effectiveness of corrective actions, and recommending corrective actions. The Quality Engineer also performs benchmarking and other forms of analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved. This position works under general direction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 3+ years experience working on data collection and data analytics products

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of experience in aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing environment
  • 1+ years of experience performing quantitative or statistical analysis, data collection, preparation and interpretation
  • 3+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • 3+ years of experience with root cause analysis and corrective action (RCCA) methods

Responsibilities
