Quality Engineer
About The Position
Ascentec Engineering is seeking a Quality Engineer to support our Machining and Integrated Assembly divisions. In this role, you will help ensure the highest quality standards are maintained throughout the sourcing, manufacturing, and inspection of advanced hardware. Requirements
- Bachelor of Science required with an emphasis in Engineering from an accredited four-year institution.
- 3+ years of relevant Manufacturing experience in the Aerospace and/or Semiconductor industry highly preferred
- Experience developing quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured products
- Self-Starter, Self-Motivated, Flexible, and Organized

- Professional demeanor, respectful to people in all situations, enjoys fast pace and rapidly changing environment, and willing to help others as needs and tasks change often
- Applicant must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check prior to employment.
- To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Responsibilities
- Read and interpret customer drawings that include GD&T and multi-level Bills of Materials
- Perform advanced manual inspections with gauging tools and perform visual product Inspections
- Solve practical problems in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills, including Team building and Collaboration
- Create/refine Manufacturing Work Instructions and Quality Inspection plans
- Submit Customer First Article, Final inspection reports, and Engineering change requests
- Record and Trend Quality performance data
- Create/refine Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA)
- Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) disposition activities
- Lead/Facilitate internal Continuous Improvement efforts
- Lead Customer escapes containments and Root Cause Corrective Action utilizing advanced problem solving
- Provide training to employees on Quality related topics
- Interface with Customer Quality and Engineering Reps
- Manage Customers supplier scorecard reviews and improvement activities
- Conduct Source Inspections and also schedule contracted Source inspections where necessary
- Audit internal and supplier processes
- Own, direct and establish metrics for Supplier Quality Management
- Makes the final decision on acceptability of product
