It's a hands-on role for someone who likes solving problems directly with suppliers and cross-functional partners, and who wants exposure to a broad, regulated quality environment.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years in Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Quality, or a related function, including direct supplier work on quality issues, corrective actions, or performance improvement
  • Working knowledge of root cause analysis, corrective action, and continuous improvement methods
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; comfortable managing multiple open issues at once
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Business, or related field — or equivalent experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a regulated industry — medical device, manufacturing, electronics, automotive, or logistics — preferred
  • Supplier audit or assessment experience; SCAR management
  • ISO 9001 or ISO 13485 experience
  • Familiarity with eQMS platforms (e.g., Greenlight Guru) or ERP/supplier management systems
  • ASQ certification (CQE or CSQP)

Responsibilities

  • Lead supplier qualification, onboarding, evaluations, and periodic performance reviews
  • Monitor supplier performance metrics (defects, nonconformances, corrective actions) and flag risks to Purchasing and Operations
  • Support supplier audits end-to-end: preparation, documentation, follow-up, and corrective action tracking
  • Maintain supplier quality records, specifications, and requirements documentation
  • Investigate supplier-related quality issues and nonconformances; issue and manage SCARs
  • Partner with suppliers on root cause analysis, corrective actions, and timelines, and verify closure
  • Escalate overdue or significant issues to Quality management
  • Analyze recurring issues to identify preventive action and continuous improvement opportunities
  • Support incoming inspection, containment activities, and investigations tied to supplier-provided materials or components
  • Assist with regulatory registrations, licensing, renewals, and customer requests tied to supplier qualification
  • Keep supplier and quality system records complete, accurate, and audit-ready; prepare quality reports and metrics
  • Work daily with Purchasing, Operations, and Client Success to resolve supplier and quality concerns
  • Support new product introductions, supplier onboarding, and process changes
  • Drive data-based problem-solving and contribute to supplier quality KPIs and improvement projects
