About The Position

As a Quality Engineer/Supervisor, you’ll be part of our Manufacturing -Tools team working as an onsite employee. You’ll get to work with plant personnel to develop Control Plans, PFMEA’s, and Quality processes for all Departments. You will mentor and validate knowledge of Level A-B-C-D inspectors in measuring techniques that include: CMM, 3D scanner, manual metrology tools, quality software, GD & T and calibrations. You will ensure all metrology tools meet the ISO requirements for calibration and certification. You will ensure control plans and process sheets are followed per process requirements and all records are maintained. You will facilitate KPI measurables and monitor action plans for the department. You will provide leadership plans to meet the plant measurables and maintain a defect prevention program. You will assist with process improvements and implementation of poke–yokes. You will coordinate schedules, follow up of assignments, and training of quality assurance personnel. You will provide timely, unbiased, and effective performance evaluations for quality assurance personnel. You will manage time and attendance, and/or other related approvals using the appropriate software (e.g. UKG, Workday). You will take action to improve customer satisfaction through continuous improvement of productivity, quality, and safety.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field (e.g. Quality, Tooling, Engineering).
  • Five or more years leadership experience in a Quality, Metal Stamping, Tooling, and/or Engineering environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of ISO standards, PFMEA, Control Plans, PPAP, SPC, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing.
  • Mechanical ability, troubleshooting skills, problem solving skills (8D) and knowledge of design of experiments
  • Strong understanding of APQP, SPC, and other TQM tools.
  • Ability to read blue prints, interpret datum structure, and collaborate with engineers to modify or adjust as needed.
