About The Position

Candidate will be instrumental in developing a Quality Management System to meet AS9100D Standard compliance. This includes collaborating with engineering and manufacturing counterparts to ensure quality requirements and standards are achieved. The candidate will design and implement inspection and testing processes including enabling new technologies based on business case analysis to achieve quality requirements in the most effective manner. Candidate will perform data analysis and identify corrective action and improvement opportunities. The selected candidate will ensure corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with stated requirements. Areas of specialization may include design, production control, process analysis, product evaluation and reliability, or research and development as they apply to product or process quality. Certified in lean and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies a plus. Must be a US Citizen. This position supports a facility that requires special access. Candidate must hold a security clearance to apply.

Requirements

  • Aerospace experience or similar aeronautical background
  • Quality Engineering experience
  • Experience in AS9100 Quality Management Systems
  • Metrics Development, Process Analysis and Corrective Action Experience
  • Strong aircraft technical skills
  • Knowledge of GD&T, its application within a design dataset, and the usage by manufacturing
  • Broad experience with typical aircraft production processes
  • Broad experience with metrology and product verification methods and capabilities
  • Demonstrated performance with FMEA, control plans, FAI planning, statistical process control
  • Knowledge of aerospace contracting processes, supply chain management
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must hold a security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Certified in lean and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college in STEM
  • Composite Fabrication Experience
  • Familiarization with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and/or on Machine Probing and metrology analysis
  • ASQ Certification
  • Fluent in MS Office Suite
  • Experience with Agile Methodologies
  • Experience with Atlassian Tool Products such as JIRA and Confluence
  • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Tool suites
  • Experience with Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Tools suites
  • AS9100
  • Six Sigma/Lean Certification
  • Model Base Experience (3DExperience/ Team Center/ CATIA V5)
