As a Quality Engineer Specialist Senior (Mainframe/SQL/API QE) within PNC's Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh PA. PNC is an in-office company that fosters a supportive culture where employees can thrive and achieve balance. Requirements

  • Mainframe/SQL/API QE experience
  • 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience
  • University / college degree (or comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience including military service)

Responsibilities

  • BlueZone Mainframe application validation - (can train)
  • Java Code Testing, API/Cucumber Testing and SQL Coding/Testing
  • Jira Kanban process management
  • Defect management and tracking
  • Test case planning, design, and execution
  • Data validation and verification
  • Agile team collaboration and delivery methodologies
  • Develops and reviews test strategies and plans to ensure alignment with project goals, including scope, tools, and testing approaches.
  • Identifies and addresses resource and environment gaps, escalating unresolved or recurring issues to appropriate Quality Engineer leadership.
  • Monitors testing risks and defects, ensuring they meet ECO standards and are accurately reported.
  • Prepares and delivers test summary reports and documentation for Technology leaders, Governance/Risk teams, and business stakeholders.
  • Collaborates across teams and participates in Quality Engineer CoP meetings to support continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
