About The Position

This role is for a Quality Engineer specializing in plastics. The position involves participating in quality audits, supporting supplier qualification and maintenance, and promoting the company's ISO certified Quality Management System. The engineer will also help branches achieve ISO certification, interface with suppliers and customers on quality issues, and support the organization with work instructions, gage studies, test plans, and calibration. Additional administrative and compliance support is required, as is facilitating problem-solving teams and responding to customer discrepancy notices. The role also includes verifying corrective actions and preparing customer correspondence related to quality concerns. This position is open to Senior level Quality Engineers with direct experience. Responsibilities

  • Participate in internal and external quality audits.
  • Support all supplier qualification and maintenance activities as it pertains to Quality, such as Curbell’s supplier approval process, generating NCR’s, Customer Complaint resolution, and Supplier Corrective Actions.
  • Support and promote Curbell’s ISO certified Quality Management System at all branch locations.
  • Continue to develop compliant branches and help them achieve ISO certification as business needs are determined.
  • Interface with supplier and customer quality representatives concerning problems with quality assurance and assure that effective corrective action is implemented.
  • Support organization with appropriate work instructions, gage studies, test plans and calibration.
  • Provide additional administrative and compliance related support.
  • Facilitate problem solving teams and respond to customer discrepancy notices.
  • Verify corrective actions and prepare problem solving customer correspondence related to quality concerns or issues.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
