This role supports the Quality Management System and Manufacturing Process Continuous Improvement within a PCB manufacturing environment. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for generating quality reports, managing KPI data, organizing MRB meetings, and participating in investigations for quality, RMA, and process issues. This position also involves customer interface, root cause analysis, and maintaining the quality system documentation and training databases. Additionally, the role includes performing internal audits, assisting with customer source inspections and complaints, managing the calibration system, conducting bi-annual XRF validations, and performing weekly Ionic Contamination verification. The engineer will also assist with various documentation needs, update SPC charts, manage temperature/humidity data, locate missing traveler packages, assist in maintaining qualifications, and participate in manufacturing operations as needed, including rework and inspection. Responsibilities extend to issuing inspection stamps, managing supplies for testing and rework, preparing AS 9102 forms, and double-checking certification packages and FAIRs. Traveler package management includes ordering documents, ensuring sign-offs, logging movement, and verifying lab logs. RMA processing involves issuing, receiving, closing, and managing credit memos, as well as database logging. The role also requires maintaining customer, military, IPC, and industry specifications, and managing the sending and tracking of test coupons and mounts to outside services.
