About The Position
This is a 1099 contract role for a Quality Engineer / Mechanical Engineer. The primary focus will be on performing inspections in accordance with specific aerospace standards and client procedures. The role requires the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, use precision measuring equipment, and complete detailed inspection documentation. The project duration is TBD and may vary based on client needs. The standard shift hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, but project schedules may vary depending on site availability. Travel to Austin, TX and nearby areas is required.
Requirements
- Experience in Mechanical Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer / Industrial Engineer / Quality Engineer, or equivalent inspection experience.
- SAE AMS7100 / AS9102 (Experience and/or certification)
- Ability to travel to Austin, TX and nearby areas.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret customer/engineering drawings.
- Perform dimensional and visual inspections using precision measuring equipment.
- Use hand tools and measurement instruments accurately.
- Perform inspections in accordance with SAE AMS7100 and the client's internal QC00004 procedure.
- Review and comply with customer-specific requirements flowed down through the drawings.
- Complete inspection documentation in accordance with AS9102 and QC00004 requirements.
- Scan and upload all inspection evidence/documentation to the designated job folder.
- Complete the required QC00004 training and sign the training form before performing inspections.
