This position applies intensive and diversified knowledge of quality principles and practices to a broad range of nuclear project assignments. This role will supervise a wide variety of technical and administrative work of nuclear quality engineering personnel assigned to the project.

Requirements

  • Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study and seven (7) years of work-related experience; a recognized professional certification or registration in the applicable field, if required; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
  • Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
  • Must be able to provide proof of U.S. citizenship.
  • Prior quality assurance and auditing experience in the nuclear industry.
  • Ability to obtain NQA-1 Lead Auditor certification.
  • Working knowledge of ASME NQA-1 and 10 CFR Part 21.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to advocate nuclear quality assurance principles.
  • Ability to collaborate with project management and quality personnel.
  • Must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located.

Nice To Haves

  • Current NQA-1 Lead Auditor.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015.
  • Familiarity with ISO 17025:2017.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and supervise quality reviews of design output documents and procurement packages to determine compliance with project quality program requirements.
  • Perform and supervise quality reviews of supplier submittments to determine compliance with procurement quality requirements.
  • Coordinate reviews of supplier procedures and inspection and test plans.
  • Perform and supervise quality reviews of turnover documentation to determine compliance with project quality requirements.
  • Document, evaluate, and resolve issues within the corrective action program.
  • Contribute to mitigation of significant quality risks and resolution of client complaints regarding quality issues.
  • Maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders including engineering and supply chain personnel.
