About The Position

The Quality Engineer III will provide solutions for coding errors by collaborating with software developers to review coding algorithms, develop unit testing plans, and analyze testing results. This role involves participating in small- to large-scale projects, developing software quality assurance (SQA) test plans, and contributing to the creation of user stories. The engineer will demonstrate up-to-date expertise in SQA, understand customer requirements for functional and non-functional testing, and support code development for eCommerce projects by ensuring testability and reliability. This position also involves building partnerships with stakeholders, identifying business needs, and providing and supporting the implementation of business solutions.

Requirements

4 years of experience in software engineering quality assurance or related area; OR Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems or related field plus 2 years of experience in software engineering quality assurance or related area.
Developing and implementing quality assurance policies and procedures to support the testing, build, release, and maintenance of web application systems throughout the project lifecycle.
Automating manual test cases into UI scripts using tools like Cypress or Selenium, including script creation, execution, and BDD artifacts.
Conducting diverse testing activities—feature, exploratory, regression, defect, integration, smoke, UAT, end-to-end, cross-browser, security, and performance—across all environments.
Managing version control systems (Git), test management tools (Jira), and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Looper) to integrate and execute automated test scripts.
Developing and maintaining test cases, test plans, and documentation for functional and non-functional testing to optimize the STLC.
Reviewing testing requirements.
Creating and maintaining test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports, ensuring traceability and knowledge sharing.
Reviewing automation scripts for maintainability, efficiency, and best practices.
Identifying quality risks and providing feedback to ensure robust automated testing.
Troubleshooting defects, performing root cause analysis, and managing bug tracking and resolution using Jira to ensure system integrity and up-to-date documentation.
Participating in sprint planning and retrospective meetings and demonstrating completed work during sprint reviews.
Communicating status and issues to appropriate team members and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Provides solutions for coding errors by collaborating with software developers to review coding algorithms.

Queries application logs and databases and checks configuration files to troubleshoot issues encountered during testing.
Resolves minor code errors and recommends code fixes or solutions for testing errors.
Participates in small- to large-scale projects by reviewing project requirements.

Develops software quality assurance (SQA) test plans for assigned projects by determining exact testing scope, data and environmental requirements, dependencies and risks, and schedule of test deliverables.
Prepares requirement traceability matrix and maintains traceability between business requirements, functional requirements, design and test cases.
Contributes to the creation of user stories for component/module/simple requirements.
Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others.
