About The Position

As a Quality Engineer III at Jabil's Hendersonville, NC facility, you will represent the Quality function for global customer accounts, providing advanced technical support for manufacturing‑related issues. You will act as a key liaison between Jabil, customers, and suppliers, driving quality planning, corrective actions, process optimization, and standardization across global operations. Your leadership and expertise will directly influence customer satisfaction, product quality, and process consistency worldwide. The role is on‑site at the Hendersonville, NC facility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5+ years of related quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
  • Strong expertise in APQP, corrective action systems, and quality planning.
  • Proven experience supporting global customers and suppliers.
  • Ability to lead and influence cross‑functional teams without direct authority.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and root cause analysis skills.
  • Experience with documentation control and quality systems management.
  • Effective communication skills for customer, supplier, and internal presentations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, global manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of process optimization and continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Represent the Quality function as a technical authority for manufacturing issues affecting global customer accounts.
  • Serve as the primary quality liaison between Jabil, customers, and suppliers on global quality matters.
  • Develop and maintain Quality Assurance plans for global new product introductions using APQP and process optimization methodologies tailored to customer requirements.
  • Support quoting activities through participation in initial process design, development, and implementation phases.
  • Evaluate and provide input into inspection processes through development of inspection aids and work instruction guidelines.
  • Develop and support global training programs, including creation and delivery of specialized quality training for applicable functions.
  • Establish and maintain systems for quality documentation storage, access, review, and control for global customer accounts.
  • Review internal, supplier, and customer discrepancies; coordinate, track, and verify effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Participate in vendor survey activities and drive proactive supplier engagement and process improvement initiatives.
  • Interface with cross‑functional departments to support compliance with policies, procedures, and quality requirements.
  • Provide leadership and support for process improvement and optimization, emphasizing proactive quality methodologies.
  • Assist in driving standardization of manufacturing processes across global customer accounts.
  • Provide direct technical quality support to customers as needed.
  • Adhere to all safety, health, and environmental regulations.
  • Comply with company security policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
