About The Position

Raytheon in Forest, MS, is seeking a Quality Engineer to provide engineering support and expertise ensuring compliance with contractual, company, and regulatory requirements. This position will provide education and knowledge on the use of quality resources in the administration of the Quality System. You will work on projects and/or processes to provide measurable input to new products, processes, or standards in operational plans to implement customer integrations and/or objectives. After obtaining a government clearance, you will work in a closed environment to access classified materials with flexible work hours to accommodate work/life balance practices. This is a 1st shift role on a 9/80 schedule (every other Friday off).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and 2 years of prior relevant experience
  • Relevant experience is working in engineering, manufacturing or quality engineering
  • Experience with AS 9100 quality management systems or equivalent
  • Experience with Six Sigma methodology (CORE) and tools such as lean manufacturing, diagnostic, process optimization and/or continuous improvement
  • Experience with Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) application, manufacturing and/or assembly
  • Experience with metrology, measurement tools and practices
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Active and existing security clearance required after day 1

Nice To Haves

  • Active DoD Secret security clearance
  • Experience working with US government customers (DCMA, USN, etc,)
  • Experience working with external suppliers and mechanical inspection techniques
  • Experience in supporting design and manufacturing processes and could work within a cross-functional team environment
  • Ability to work with internal and external customers in efforts to reducing and eliminating quality defects
  • Hands-on use of statistical process controls for process monitoring, qualification and/or design feedback
  • Familiar with lean manufacturing concepts
  • Ability to effectively juggle multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Ability to collaborate and team with multiple internal functions and external organizations to provide best value solutions to our customers
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledge and application of business acumen
