About The Position

You will join the team as a Quality Engineer II to ensure products meet strict regulatory and customer quality standards. You will impact product development and manufacturing by partnering with engineering, manufacturing, and customer quality teams in an onsite aerospace manufacturing environment that combines shop floor and office/lab work. Your work will support compliance, continuous improvement, and audit readiness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field
  • 3–7 years of experience in manufacturing or aerospace quality engineering
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems and standards (AS9100, ISO 9001 preferred)
  • Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action processes
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, including GD&T
  • Hands-on experience with inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data analysis tools
  • Must meet U.S. export control / government contracting eligibility requirements
  • Candidates must be local to the Simi Valley, CA area

  • Master’s degree
  • Experience leading audits, quality initiatives, or cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with PFMEA, control plans, and advanced quality methodologies
  • Prior experience working with government or regulated aerospace programs

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, test, and inspect products to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Develop and execute inspection and testing methods across manufacturing stages
  • Perform root cause analysis and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Lead shop floor quality improvement initiatives, audits, and training efforts
  • Review and create inspection plans, work instructions, and quality documentation
  • Support Material Review Board (MRB) activities and disposition processes
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on PFMEA and control plans
  • Review and approve First Article Inspections (FAI) and final inspection reports
  • Interface with customers, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders
  • Analyze data using statistical methods to identify trends and improvements
  • Ensure compliance with customer contracts and quality requirements
