About The Position

Waters Corporation is hiring a Quality Assurance Engineer I at its Taunton, Massachusetts site. The role supports the quality management system (QMS) for ISO 9001:2015 certification and performs final product disposition before products are released for shipment. The engineer reviews validation documentation, supports QMS training and audits, and contributes to quality reporting and process ownership.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering; chemical engineering, chemistry, or an equivalent BS major is preferred.
• At least 2 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of and/or experience in quality.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve validation plans and reports.
• Conduct QMS training for Waters personnel to support and maintain the QMS.
• Issue, review, and approve Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs) as needed to maintain and strengthen the QMS.
• Prepare QMS status metrics for leadership, including the Quality Scorecard and Management Review.
• Perform internal audits to demonstrate compliance with the Waters QMS.
• Review finished products and the manufacturing documentation and records associated with them before shipment to customers.
• Review and approve out-of-specification (OOS) reports issued by the Quality Control Laboratory.
• Own at least one quality process, such as CAPA, Supplier Quality, Change Control, Complaints, Warranty approvals, Customer Communications, Internal Audit, Validation, Non-conformances, or Incoming Inspection.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
