About The Position

You'll build and help drive the test strategy and automation for a serverless, event-driven platform that processes regulated cross-border financial transactions. You'll build confidence in AWS Lambda/Step Functions workflows, Java microservices, and DynamoDB data models by designing fast, reliable tests and the tooling and pipelines to run them at scale.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a layered test suite—unit, integration, contract, end-to-end, and non-functional—for Lambda handlers, Step Functions orchestrations, Java microservices, and API layers.
• Validate workflow behavior including branching, retries, timeouts, heartbeats, and idempotency keys.
• Verify DynamoDB data models and access patterns (conditional writes, transactions, GSIs/LSIs, TTL, global tables), ensuring ordering, deduplication, and correctness under load and eventual consistency.
• Build robust local/dev test harnesses using tools like Jest/JUnit, Rest Assured, Pact (contract testing), Test containers, Local Stack, Step Functions Local, and DynamoDB Local.
