About The Position

The Quality Engineer 2 is responsible for driving the execution of quality goals and objectives at FM Industries, a manufacturing solutions provider specializing in build-to-print precision machined components, anodizing, and engineered thermal spray coatings. The company supports customers from prototype through production. The position performs quality engineering work in a manufacturing environment and supports organizational continuous improvement and new product introduction activities.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or Material Sciences.
3–5 years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing-related industry.
Exceptional mechanical aptitude.
Proven track record of driving continuous quality improvement in a manufacturing environment.
Previous audit experience.

Nice To Haves

Experience in the semiconductor equipment industry.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret product drawings in accordance with industry standards, such as ASME Y14.5-2009.
Perform and assist other departments with root cause analysis and 8D corrective actions.
Prepare graphical analyses, such as histograms and Pareto charts, to support organizational KPIs.
Prepare statistical analyses and Design of Experiments (DOE) plans to support continuous improvement activities.
Design and execute Measurement System Analysis (MSA) studies.
Provide quality support to cross-functional New Product Introduction (NPI) team projects.
Drive the execution of quality goals and objectives.
