About The Position

AARP Foundation is the nation's leading organization serving the 39 million older adults living in poverty or one life event away from slipping into it. Our mission is to strengthen financial resilience for and with older adults by empowering individuals and improving systems. We do this by creating pathways to quality employment, removing barriers to benefits, and promoting equitable access to essential goods and services. AARP Foundation’s BACK TO WORK 50+ coaching program supports unemployed and underemployed workers over 50 who live with low income, placing them on the pathway to higher quality employment or self-employment. As a Quality Employment Coach (2 positions available) you will provide comprehensive career and job search guidance to participants in the BACK TO WORK 50+ program. In this role, you will support participants through career exploration, job readiness, skills development, and successful transition into quality employment. As a coach, you will apply a whole-person, trauma-informed lens by assessing individual needs aligned with an understanding of the unique life circumstances and barriers to employment for low-income workers over age 50. The Quality Employment Coach delivers individualized and group-based coaching while collaborating with internal teams and external third-parties to support program outcomes. In this role you will track participant progress and outcomes, contributing to program performance measurement, evaluation and enhancement.
