About The Position

SQA Services is seeking an Electrical Quality Inspector to perform receiving inspections of printed circuit boards (PCBs), printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs), and other electronic components and assemblies at an aerospace and defense facility in El Segundo, California. The role is 100% onsite on first shift and is a six-month contract. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience inspecting electronic hardware, interpreting engineering drawings and specifications, applying IPC workmanship standards, and documenting inspection results. Candidates with quality inspection experience across different commodities are welcome. The inspector will use equipment such as microscopes, UV light sources, multimeters, precision scales, and dimensional measuring tools. They will review quality documentation, record findings, identify nonconformances, support MRB and NCR activities, and coordinate issue resolution with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Production teams. The role also involves processing inspection results and material transactions in ERP systems and verifying that inspection and test equipment is calibrated. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, at least three years of quality assurance and inspection experience, and at least three years of experience with ESD controls, IPC J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 standards, and interpreting technical drawings and specifications. Applicants must be able to work onsite in El Segundo and meet the stated physical demands. Because the position requires access to ITAR-controlled technical data or defense articles, candidates must be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 3 years of Quality Assurance and inspection experience.
At least 3 years of experience working with ESD controls and IPC J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 standards.
At least 3 years of experience interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, blueprints, and specifications.
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer-based systems.
Ability to frequently lift 20 lbs. or more and stand, move, bend, and reach for extended periods.
Ability to work 100% onsite in El Segundo, California.
Must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. lawful permanent resident (green card holder) to comply with ITAR requirements.

Nice To Haves

Experience inspecting PCBs, PCBAs, or other electronic assemblies.
Experience using electronic and dimensional inspection equipment.
Experience with MRB reviews and nonconformance reporting.
Familiarity with AS9100 or similar quality management systems.
Active IPC certification, such as IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, or IPC-600.
Aerospace or defense manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

Perform receiving inspections of PCBs, PCBAs, and electronic components and assemblies.
Inspect electronic hardware for workmanship, quality, and compliance with engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, and applicable IPC standards.
Use inspection equipment such as microscopes, UV light sources, multimeters, precision scales, and dimensional measuring tools as required.
Review Certificates of Conformance (CoCs), test records, material certifications, and First Article Inspection Reports.
Document inspection results, identify nonconformances, and coordinate resolution with Quality and Engineering teams.
Support Material Review Board (MRB) activities and nonconformance reporting (NCR).
Process inspection results and material transactions in ERP systems.
Verify that inspection and test equipment is properly calibrated.
Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Production to resolve issues and improve inspection processes.
