Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, technical, quality, business administration, or related discipline
  • 1-3 years demonstrated experience in QA/QC document control, preferably in a hardware manufacturing setting
  • Strong writing and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Proficiency in research and technical understanding
  • Effective communication abilities
  • Adaptability to industry changes
  • Basic project management skills
  • A knack for problem-solving.
  • Intermediate computer skills required, with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., data tracking, basic formulas, and reporting) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

  • Experience with compliance management
  • Experience with internal auditing
  • Familiarity with quality systems and improvement methods such as CAPA, RCA, PFMEA, DMAIC or PDCA.
  • Exposure to topic-based authoring concepts

Responsibilities

  • Triage incoming Document Control requests, evaluate completeness against process requirements, and disposition or route work appropriately
  • Oversee controlled documents from creation, review, and approval to distribution and obsoletion.
  • Author and edit controlled content in the CCMS
  • Perform final QA checks prior to document release
  • Publish final documents and update registry/version tables
  • Own and monitor support channels
  • Process quality-related requests such as vendor onboarding and RFI questionnaires, researching and compiling accurate responses using the controlled document library
  • Support administrative and compliance-related documentation (policies, safety documentation, and similar materials that span multiple functional areas), applying judgment on appropriate ownership and classification.
  • Assist with tracking and flagging documentation gaps identified through internal or external audits
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives, including document control workflow refinements and definitions of what qualifies as a controlled document.
  • Build working relationships with knowledge management, quality assurance, safety, security, and HR teams to understand documentation needs and keep controlled content current.
  • Represent document control standards and expectations when coordinating with other teams
