About The Position

The Quality Assurance Documentation Specialist is responsible for developing final documentation packages for customers, ensuring completeness, and managing revisions. This role involves submitting packages to customer portals or sales departments, uploading them into internal databases, and creating/revising drawings and data sheets. The specialist will also manage customer folders on shared drives containing production process documentation, material test reports, and documentation packages. In the absence of a Quality Assurance Technical Specialist, this role may also involve reviewing and approving process routers, verifying material test reports and heat treat certifications against customer requirements, updating process routers, uploading MTRs, creating and sending NCRs for customer approval, and reviewing/approving process drawings.

Requirements

  • Develop final documentation packages for customers.
  • Review outside service certificates, approvals, and closures.
  • Review and investigate customer requests for documentation package revisions.
  • Submit completed documentation packages to customer portals or sales departments.
  • Upload documentation packages into internal database systems.
  • Create and revise drawings.
  • Develop data sheets.
  • Manage and maintain customer folders on shared drives.
  • Maintain production process documentation, material test reports, and documentation packages.
  • Review and approve process routers.
  • Ensure technical information is included in process routers.
  • Verify material test reports meet customer specific requirements and/or purchase order requirements.
  • Verify heat treat certifications meet customer specific requirements and/or purchase order requirements.
  • Update the process router.
  • Upload MTRs to the internal database system.
  • Create NCRs for customer approval.
  • Send NCRs to customer for approval.
  • Review and approve process drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Verify heat treat certifications to ensure they meet customer specific requirements and/or purchase order requirements.
  • Create and send NCR’s to customer for approval as needed.
  • Review and approve process drawings.
