Quality Director
About The Position
Kalon Executive Search is partnering with an established and growing dietary supplement manufacturer to identify an experienced Quality Director to lead its quality organization. This is a key leadership opportunity for a quality professional with a strong background in dietary supplements, cGMP, and FDA-regulated manufacturing. The Quality Director will oversee all QA/QC activities and ensure that manufacturing operations consistently meet industry standards and regulatory requirements, while maintaining the highest standards of product safety, effectiveness, and quality. This is an on site role near Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related scientific field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in quality assurance within dietary supplement or pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Thorough understanding of cGMP requirements, FDA regulations, and industry quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Establish, implement, and maintain a robust Quality Management System that aligns with cGMP, FDA regulations, and other applicable standards.
- Evaluate the performance of the QMS and introduce improvements or updates as necessary.
- Coordinate and support regulatory and third-party audits.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and oversight organizations.
- Manage and develop the Quality Assurance and Quality Control teams.
- Encourage a culture focused on quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with other departments to advance company-wide quality initiatives.
- Oversee the creation, implementation, and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Identify opportunities for quality and process improvements and implement corrective actions when needed.
- Assess, qualify, and monitor suppliers and vendors to ensure adherence to established quality standards.
- Develop and manage supplier quality agreements.
- Supervise testing programs for raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to confirm compliance with quality specifications.
- Review quality documentation and authorize product batch release once all requirements are met.
