This position involves overseeing product and metrological quality in manufacturing. The role requires working with process engineers, department supervisors, and other personnel to ensure the quality of production and manufacturing. The engineer will review and recommend gauges and related quality equipment. Communication with engineering in Germany is essential for making necessary changes and improvements to parts and/or processes, including requesting waivers for manufactured parts that can be salvaged. Additionally, the role involves working with purchasing and other personnel to recommend sources for raw materials such as castings, forgings, and bar stock. Requirements

  • Possess strong overall office skills, including use of computers, their applications, and other office equipment.
  • Must have aptitude required to understand and apply directions for operating various machinery.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Ability to use gauges and other measuring equipment to ensure quality work.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work with process engineer, department supervisor, and other personnel to ensure quality of production/manufacturing.
  • Review and recommend gauges and related quality equipment.
