About The Position

The Senior Quality Data Analyst is the technical lead for data analytics and business intelligence within the Quality & Patient Safety division, responsible for enterprise Epic reporting and the full lifecycle of report and dashboard development that supports clinical quality, patient safety, regulatory compliance, and organizational performance. This role owns the design, build, and maintenance of reporting infrastructure across SQL, Crystal Reports, SSRS, Power BI, and Epic Clarity and Caboodle, transforming complex data into actionable insights for clinical, operational, and executive leadership. The Senior Quality Data Analyst also serves as a technical resource to other analyst staff and partners closely with Information Technology on data warehouse structure, Epic build governance, and data integration.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Epic Cogito Certification required or obtained within 1 year of hire.
Epic Clarity and Caboodle certification, or demonstrated equivalent proficiency, required at hire or obtained within one year of hire.
Minimum of five years of experience in healthcare data analysis, including demonstrated experience building reports or dashboards in Epic Clarity and/or Caboodle, and hands-on experience writing SQL queries against a relational database or data warehouse.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, statistics, public health, health informatics, nursing, or related field.
Experience with Crystal Reports or SSRS report development, Power BI dashboard design, ADW, and statistical software.

Responsibilities

Serves as the primary technical lead for enterprise Epic reporting within Quality & Patient Safety, owning the design, build, and maintenance of reports and data models in Epic Clarity and Caboodle.
Designs, develops, and maintains SQL queries against the enterprise data warehouse to support production reporting, ad hoc analysis, and validation of clinical and operational data.
Builds and maintains reports in Crystal Reports and SSRS, ensuring accuracy, version control, and alignment with source system logic.
Designs, builds, and deploys Power BI dashboards and scorecards for clinical, operational, and executive audiences, including data model design and refresh scheduling.
Collaborate with the Quality Manager and division leadership to identify data needs, translate requirements into technical specifications, and design meaningful analyses.
Collects, organizes, and validates data from multiple clinical and operational sources, including electronic health records, safety event reporting systems, and external benchmarking databases.
Partners with Information Technology to optimize data warehouse structures, manage Epic build governance, and integrate new data sources.
Develop analytic tools to monitor performance against national benchmarks and identify opportunities for improvement.
Partners with interdisciplinary teams, including nursing, medical staff, finance, and operations, to define data needs and deliver actionable insights.
Provides data and insights to support committees, leadership councils, and the Board of Trustees
Translate complex technical data into clear, compelling narratives that inform executive decision-making.
Serves as a technical resource and mentor to other Quality Data Analyst staff, providing guidance on report development standards and best practices.
Contributes to organizational readiness for regulatory surveys and quality reporting requirements.
Ensures data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with privacy and security requirements, including adherence to data governance standards for Epic build access.
